Last week update March 9-13

Last week full of memorable experiences. First, one of our distance runners was playing church basketball and he fell and hit is head against the wall. That knocked him out for awhile AND he had to get 14 staples put in his head. OUCH!!! Monday was a SNOW STORM! The snow did not stop the distance and middle distance runners from doing intervals out in the snow! They then built a 7 foot SNOWMAN!

All we long we were lucky to have Lancer Legend Jen Day come and work-out with us. As an extra-bonus her friend and teammate Ashlee Cannon came too! Jen has LHS's school record in the 200 & 400, and now runs for Utah State University. Ashlee is a Davis High Alumni, but was willing to work and train with us. Ashlee still has the state record in the 100m hurdles, and also runs for Utah State University.
They spent the week teaching us Sprinting drills, how to use the blocks, how to hurdle, and motivating us to work hard. Their last piece of advice is "If you want to do well, COME TO PRACTICE (even the football players)!!!" And they also wanted to add, "Clint bend your arms!"
We are so grateful that they were willing to spend their spring break working out with us! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
